Niiden t\u00e4rkeimpi\u00e4 k\u00e4ytt\u00f6kohteita ovat mm. koneistus-, autoteollisuus-, ilmailu- ja l\u00e4\u00e4ketieteellisten laitteiden valmistus, joissa vaaditaan eritt\u00e4in suurta mittatarkkuutta ja toistettavuutta.<\/p><p data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"797\">CMM-kone toimii siten, ett\u00e4 mittap\u00e4\u00e4 liikkuu ohjattujen akselien varassa (yleens\u00e4 X, Y ja Z) ja koskettaa kappaleen pintaa tai mittaa sen kosketuksettomilla antureilla, kuten laserilla tai optisella skannerilla. Jokaisesta kosketuspisteest\u00e4 tallentuu tarkka 3D-koordinaatti, joista muodostetaan mittaustulokset ja geometriset analyysit.<\/p><p data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"1058\">CMM tarjoaa eritt\u00e4in korkean tarkkuuden ja soveltuu parhaiten laboratorio- tai mittaushuoneolosuhteisiin, joissa l\u00e4mp\u00f6tila ja olosuhteet pysyv\u00e4t vakaina.
